Our vineyard is located on the hillsides of Bué. For a long time, they brought their notoriety to the commune:
In clots : stony lands with limestones (up to 50% active limestone) located between the great hills and the “piton de Sancerre” (Chemarin, Clos d’Ervocs, La Moussière).
In White Lands : clay-limestone lands (amalgam of shells and clay) located on the upper hills and to the West (Venoize).
We are currently working under the label TERRA VITIS for all our wines grown since 2017. 2020 is our first vintage of conversion to organic farming.
To obtain fine wines, we are conducting different tasks: pruning control, disbudding, green harvest, stripping. These tasks provide us with an optimal and qualitative harvest from our ceps.
The harvest is done partially by machine and by hand. The vinification follows the criteria of modern oenology.
The Jean-Paul Balland Domain is a member of Terra Vitis association. The certification was obtained following a global diagnosis of our exploitation, compliance with specifications and the certification audit (must be renewed every year).
The writing of the specifications are based on the sustainable agriculture principle : "A mode of operation that meets present needs without compromising the ability of future generations to meet theirs”
All our wines since 2017 have been certified TERRA VITIS.

Drive
Order your wines by phone or by email and come pick them up during opening hours. For a withdrawal on Saturdays, your order must be placed before 5:00 pm on Friday.
